Little Things – Big Impact

Little Things - Big Impact
es sind meist die kleinen Dinge, welche eine grosse Wirkung zeigen.

It’s often the little things that have a big impact. This is especially true and an essential fact in the hospitality industry. Of course, the general standard, the technical equipment, and the amenities offered by a hotel are also important and likely a foundation for the success of any hotel. However, with the appropriate investment and the right design, virtually anyone can achieve these. It’s the little things that make all the difference.

I recently treated myself to a safari at the Garden Route Game Lodge in Albertina, South Africa. Since I was traveling for business, I could only enjoy one day in this magnificent place. However, the experience was absolutely unique. For example, the room was decorated in an African safari style, which isn’t unusual for a safari lodge. However, it was a successful blend of minimalism and stylish design. In the bathroom, next to the shower, there was a small chair with a neatly folded towel. But that wasn’t all. It’s the little things that make a big impact: a small African herb flower had been lovingly placed on the towel, which made all the difference. You can’t just do that. It takes someone who cares about their guests and does everything to make them feel as comfortable as they would feel at home or in other words: feel home far away from home.
